All the info ahead of The Gulls taking on Cardiff’s young starlets on Saturday (25/07/26 12pm KO)
Torquay United is pleased to announce Saturday’s home game will be the club’s first-ever ‘Pay What You Want’ fixture, with donations towards TUFC’s rejuvenated Youth Department replacing an entrance fee.
With the Bluebirds’ latest high-flyers heading to Plainmoor for The Gulls’ penultimate warm-up test ahead of the 2026/27 National League South campaign, this match represents already represents a great opportunity to see Jimmy Ball’s new-look squad in action before the real thing gets underway two weeks later.
And now, the Yellow Army will have the chance to contribute whatever they wish to help push the next generation to even greater heights.
With the usual entrance fee waived for the Cardiff U21 encounter, supporters will instead have the opportunity to donate towards furthering the progression of the next generation of Gulls stars, and help the Club raise valuable funds towards its Youth Development Programme.
Getting To Plainmoor
By Train: Torre Station is the nearest rail stop to Plainmoor, with the stadium a 25 minute walk away. Alternatively, local taxi firms can take the strain for you – just phone Price First Taxis on 01803 322322
By Car: The South Devon Link Road runs from Newton Abbot to Torquay, and allows quick access for home and away fans. We do not have any dedicated parking at Plainmoor, and therefore advise fans to get to Plainmoor early so that they can find street parking in the numerous roads located around the stadium.
Bus: Bus service 35A can be picked up from Torquay Harbourside and will bring you to the shops in Plainmoor. The Wollens Terrace away end is a 5 minute walk from the shops.
Ticketing Arrangements
Plainmoor Pass holders are reminded that pre-season fixtures are NOT included within the Pass package, and therefore a valid match ticket must be obtained for this fixture.
Donation-based tickets can be purchased online in advance HERE, or alternatively, donations can be made by card or cash via the Family Stand or Popside turnstiles, which will be open from 11am.
Please Note: The Matchday Ticket Office will not be in operation for tomorrow’s fixture.
Food & Drink At Plainmoor
Supporters attending tomorrow’s match are reminded that no alcohol is permitted in the stands during our pre-season fixtures.
The Club is aware that many of our fans embraced the opportunity to enjoy a drink whilst watching the action during our National League South fixtures last season, and we would like to assure the Yellow Army that this arrangement will once again be in place for our league games this season, beginning with our opening day clash with Horsham on Saturday, 8th August (3pm KO).
However, both the Gulls Nest and Boots & Laces will be open from 11am for supporters wishing to enjoy a pre-match, post-match, or even half-time drink, with our Matchday Menu also on offer.
Club Shop
United’s new home kit has already proven hugely popular with the Yellow Army, and after receiving its Plainmoor bow against Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night, Gulls fans will have another opportunity to get their hands on the hottest shirt in town tomorrow, with the Club Shop opening from 11am.
In addition to our new home kit, our full third shirt and training wear range will also be available, so make sure you pay a visit to our Official Club Shop tomorrow!
