A Supporter Message From The Bryn Consortium

,

“We know that six points from our opening six matches is a disappointing start. Nobody at the club is seeking to disguise that, and we fully understand the frustration being felt by our supporters because, as supporters ourselves, we share it.

“This is not a moment for panic, but nor is it a moment for complacency. We are working closely with Jimmy and his staff to review what needs to be adjusted, both on and off the pitch, to give our group the best possible opportunity to find its rhythm and start putting together a positive run of results.

“That includes looking at how we can further support the manager and strengthen the squad. Jimmy and his staff are actively working on potential additions ahead of this weekend’s game at Plainmoor, although, as always, we will only announce anything when it has been completed.

“Sam Dreyer’s departure will understandably add to the disappointment felt by some supporters today. It is, however, an excellent opportunity for Sam and a deal which properly recognises his value to Torquay United. Sam is a talented and highly ambitious young player and, while we are sorry to lose him, the decision was taken in the best interests of both Sam and the club.  It does not diminish in any way our ambitions for this season.

“It is precisely during challenging times that the backing of our supporters matters most. We are not asking anyone to ignore what has been a poor start. We are asking everyone to stay with the team while we work collectively and calmly to improve matters, both on and off the pitch.

“Come on You Yellows!”
