Imy Crawford and Katie Dickerson have become the latest pair to swap a Devon rival for Plainmoor this season, with the duo most recently turning out in the green of Plymouth Argyle under current United boss Ryan Perks.
Katie started her footballing career at Belfast giants Linfield in her native Northern Ireland, a country she would go on to represent at age-group level before swapping the green of Windsor Park for that of Plymouth Argyle in 2022.
The attacking midfielder would go on to make 84 appearances for the Home Park club, as well as captaining the side on a number of occasions. Katie will bring a vast amount of experience from playing at higher levels than Step 4 football, and that knowledge and experience will be vital for a young United team this coming campaign.
The eighth new arrival at Plainmoor this season is also a former Green. Imy Crawford, a Plymouth native, joined Argyle in 2020 at the age of 16 and would go on to make over 100 appearances for the Pilgrims during her six years with the club, playing at both Step 4 and Step 3 of the women’s football pyramid.
Imy will bring a calmness and composure to the United midfield that will again be vital within the squad. Add in her versatility to play a number of different positions and roles on the pitch, and the Yellow Army are in for an exciting season ahead with these two new additions to the squad.
The pair won’t have long to wait to once again play at Home Park, with United having a huge Women’s National League Cup game against the Greens in a few weeks, which could very well see either side progress to the next stage of the competition.
Before that, however, both will be hoping to make their debuts in Yellow at Plainmoor when Maidenhead visit this coming Sunday.
If you wish to join the Yellow Army on the day and cheer the team on as they look to maintain their unbeaten home record this season, you can do so, with tickets currently on sale for the game for any fans who are not Plainmoor Pass holders.
Tickets can be purchased for United Women v Maidenhead HERE
Pass holders are NOT required to purchase a ticket, as all FA Women’s National League fixtures played at Plainmoor are included within the 2026/27 package.
