Over the last eight weeks, we’ve been taking a closer look at Forever Yellow.
We’ve heard from supporters about why they joined, looked at the benefits available to members, explored where the money goes and shared some examples of how those contributions are already helping Torquay United.
We’ve also heard from supporters who live miles away from Plainmoor but still want to play their part, including Alan Wills, who has been a TUST member for 20 years and now supports Forever Yellow at Platinum level.
Every story has been different, but there’s a common thread running through them. People want to help our football club, and Forever Yellow gives them a way to do that.
So, where are we now?

£87,000 a year — and counting
Forever Yellow is currently generating £87,000 a year for Torquay United.
That’s money coming in regularly to help support the areas of the club chosen by members: First Team Operations, Youth Development and Stadium & Matchday Experience.
We’ve already seen examples of that support being put to use, from helping make Harry Shield’s signing possible to purchasing new speakers for the Fanzone and contributing towards portable goals used by the First Team and Youth sides.
There’s also work underway to explore an upgrade to the stadium tannoy, something plenty of supporters will agree could make a real difference around Plainmoor.
And that’s alongside the ongoing support being directed towards Youth Development.
One of the important things about Forever Yellow is that these are regular contributions. They give the club additional funding it can plan around, rather than relying entirely on one-off donations or fundraising efforts.
First and foremost, we want to thank everyone who has joined Forever Yellow, increased their monthly contribution or encouraged another supporter to get involved. Reaching £87,000 a year is a real achievement, and it’s down to you.

The next £13,000
When we launched Forever Yellow, we set ourselves a target of raising £100,000 every year for Torquay United.
We’re not there yet. There’s still £13,000 to go.
We know that not everyone can afford to increase what they contribute, and we would never take anyone’s support for granted. But there are supporters who may be in a position to increase their contribution and haven’t yet considered doing so.
If you’re currently a Bronze member at £2 a month, moving up to Silver at £5 a month would add £36 a year to your contribution.
If you’re already at Silver and could move to Gold at £10 a month, that would add another £60 a year.
Those increases might seem relatively small individually, but when more supporters make that decision, the additional funding soon adds up.
And if you’re not yet a Forever Yellow member, you can join and choose which area of the club you’d like your money to support.
Could you help us close the gap?

The Story Continues
This is the final article in our eight-week run of Inside: Forever Yellow, but we plan to keep the series going with a new article each month.
We’ll continue sharing stories from members, looking at what their contributions are helping to fund and exploring ways to make Forever Yellow more attractive to supporters.
The £100,000 target remains our aim. Reaching it would mean another £13,000 a year going into Torquay United, with members deciding where their contributions are directed.
We’d love to get there, and we’d love you to help us do it.
If you’ve been thinking about upgrading, now is a good time. If you know someone who might be interested in joining, have a chat with them. And if you’re already part of Forever Yellow, thank you for helping us get this far.
£87,000 raised every year. £13,000 to go.
Let’s see if we can get Forever Yellow to £100,000. 💛
