United drawn against County Cup holders
Torquay United will face Bovey Tracey in the Preliminary Round of the St Luke’s Challenge Cup, following the draw at Devon FA headquarters yesterday.
Bovey, who are managed by former Gulls favourite Ben Gerring, are currently enjoying one of the finest periods in their history.
The Moorlanders will be following up last season’s memorable Peninsula League promotion by hosting their first-ever FA Cup tie this weekend, and having begun their first ever Western League campaign in impressive fashion, they will no doubt provide Jimmy Ball’s side with a stern test, as United look to win the County Cup for the first time since 2006/07.
This tie is scheduled to take place before Wednesday 23rd September.
