Congratulations To United’s Invincibles!

Torquay United Women chairman Rob Hawes has congratulated the side, after yesterday’s 0-0 draw at Sherborne confirmed their promotion to the FA Women’s National League for 2026/27.

Not only did yesterday’s draw secure Ryan Perks’ side the SWRWFL title, it also confirmed that United emerged from a long, hard league campaign undefeated.

“This league title is thoroughly deserved and is the result of hard work, belief, and commitment from everyone connected with Torquay United Women,” said Rob.

“To go through an entire season unbeaten is a phenomenal achievement at any level of football. Ryan, his coaching staff and the players have represented this football club with pride, passion, and professionalism every single week.

“They have shown exactly what can be achieved when you have a united group all working towards the same goal. I could not be prouder of what this team has accomplished.”

Hawes also paid tribute to the supporters and volunteers who have backed the team throughout the campaign.

“I would also like to thank our supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone behind the scenes who continue to help the women’s team grow stronger each year. This success belongs to all of them as much as it does the players on the pitch.”

The league triumph represents another significant step forward for Torquay United Women as the club continues to build momentum and ambition for the future.

Congratulations to the players and staff on an unforgettable unbeaten championship-winning season!
