Defender Ed James Joins On Loan

Torquay United are pleased to confirm the signing of defender Ed James on a one-month loan deal from Exeter City.

21-year-old centre-back Ed – a Wales Under-21 international – has made several appearances for The Grecians, in addition to gaining a wealth of first-team action during loan spells with Weston-super-Mare, Yeovil, Bath and Chippenham amongst others.

Manager Paul Wotton was understandably delighted to confirm the arrival of Ed, following Jordan Dyer’s early withdrawal at Dover last Tuesday.

“We’ve brought Ed in because of an the injury sustained to Jordan Dyer and we’re a little bit light defensively especially in the centre back area.

“He’s a player I’ve watched for a couple of years now and I’ve seen him mature and grow. He’s physically strong and I know Exeter think a lot of him. He’ll do very well for us.”

Ed James will be wearing Squad Number 22 during his time at Plainmoor.

Welcome to TUFC, Ed!
