Same Again For United Women!

Having emerged as 8-0 winners at Bishops Lydeard last Sunday, Ryan Perks’ side will be looking for another convincing performance in the return match this weekend.

Last weekend’s victory in Somerset saw Torquay strengthen their position at the top of the table, with The Gulls boasting a four-point lead over second-placed Sherborne, who have played two games more than Perks’ side.

Many feel that the primary threat to United’s promotion ambitions lies in third place, where fellow unbeaten side Forest Green Rovers currently sit, nine points behind the yellows – but having played three games less.

With Rovers’ match postponed last Sunday, The Gulls will be looking to replicate their excellent showing last time out, particularly as Goal Difference could yet prove crucial.

The return match will be taking place at Newton Abbot Spurs’ The Rec ground on Marsh Road (TQ12 2AR) this Sunday, 8th March (2pm KO), with the Yellow Army, as always, warmly invited to come along and cheer on our title-chasing team.
