Defender named August’s top performer
Jake Wannell’s impressive performances at the heart of the Gulls’ backline has received worthy recognition, after the centre-back was named as August’s BVEC Player of the Month.
After arriving at Plainmoor in the summer from Somerset rivals Yeovil Town, Jake has gone on to become an ever-present for United, appearing all six of Torquay’s opening games of 2026/27.
