With our opening three home games drawing a combined attendance of nearly 12,000 fans into Plainmoor, no-one can doubt the commitment of Torquay United’s devoted supporters in the early stages of 2026/27.
On Saturday, the Yellow Army will once again be needed to raise the decibels in the stands, as Jimmy Ball’s side go in search of the first home win of the season that could truly kick-start the new campaign.
With 40 matches – and 120 points to play for – there is a long, long, way to go before the National League South table begins to gain any serious form of credibility, and with an exciting new-look squad becoming more and more accustomed to each other, one win in front of their home supporters could prove to be the catalyst to the successful season we all crave.
This Saturday, Plainmoor will once again be playing host to the BIGGEST show in town – of that, there is no doubt.

Prior to the action kicking off at 3pm, our Fan Zone on the grass field outside Boots & Laces will offer live music, food, drink and entertainment for all the family from midday, providing the perfect excuse to arrive early and turn a match into a matchday!

Then onto the main event – Torquay United v Folkestone Invicta (05/09/26 3pm KO). And this one is sure to be a tasty one itself.
League new boys Folkestone Invicta have started the season in fine style, with their unbeaten start consisting of three wins and two draws seeing them standing 3rd in the NLS table.
However, if the men in yellow become the first side to defeat Invicta on Saturday, Torquay would move to within two points of one of the early season pace- setters – further emphasising that nothing, absolutely nothing, is won or lost in August.
So, from the first whistle to the last, get behind your team, and take pride at full-time, knowing you gave the lads your all.

At full-time, the Gulls Nest and Boots & Laces will not only allow supporters to discuss the day’s events with fellow supporters – win, lose, or draw – but there will also be LIVE music on offer from 5.30pm.
