Torquay United’s pre-season friendly schedule has now been finalised, with a trip to National League South rivals Weston-super-Mare completing The Gulls’ warm-up list
The fixture, which will take place at Weston’s Optima Stadium on Saturday, July 18th (KO TBC), will see Jimmy Ball’s side make a swift return to Somerset, having emerged as 3-0 winners against the Seagulls on Good Friday.
United’s friendly against one of their divisional rivals will provide Ball’s men with an ideal preview of what tests the NLS campaign will have to offer next term, as well as reuniting Torquay’s latest addition, Dom Bernard, with his former teammates, following his switch to Plainmoor on Friday.

Our pre-season campaign begins at the VX3 Stadium – Homers Heath, as United make the short journey to Newton Abbot to take on Buckland Athletic. Tickets for this fixture can be purchased in advance online HERE.
Following a midweek trip to Speeds Meadow to face Cullompton, Torquay will then return to Torbay to face Brixham at Wall Park, prior to facing Plymouth Parkway at Bolitho Park. Tickets for this fixture can also be purchased in advance online HERE.
The visit to Weston-super-Mare will round up The Gulls’ pre-season travels, prior to a triple-header of home games at Plainmoor, as we host Plymouth Argyle, Cardiff U21s and Exeter City.
