Glovesman heads to Plainmoor
Jimmy Ball’s strengthening of his Torquay United squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign is continuing at pace, with his latest addition being former Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Zak Baker.
Having progressed through the ranks at Home Park, promising stopper Baker has already tasted plenty of first-team action out on loan over the past three seasons, with the 21 year-old custodian impressing many onlookers with his confident displays for Southern League sides Tiverton Town and Plymouth Parkway.
With the two goalkeepers that shared duties in-between the sticks for United last season – James Hamon and Seb Stacey – both departing at the end of 2025/26, the Yellow Army will now be looking forward to seeing Zak pulling on the gloves for The Gulls next term.
Welcome to Plainmoor, Zak!
