With opponents Pucklechurch unable to raise a side for the League Cup tie scheduled for Sunday, a swift switch will now see United’s women revert to a league fixture against Poole Town Ladies tomorrow.
Whilst The Gulls will now receive a bye through to the final four of the knockout competition, the cancellation of that match has provided an ideal opportunity for Torquay to tackle their backlog of league games, with the Poole home game being brought forward from its original date on February 22nd.
With Ryan Perks’ side currently top of the South West Regional Womens Football League on goal difference after their 10-1 thrashing of Saltash last weekend, and with no other league matches scheduled tomorrow, Torquay will have a golden chance to extend their lead with another positive result.
The venue for tomorrow’s fixture remains unchanged, and the Yellow Army will once again be warmly invited to United’s second home at Coach Road to cheer on Perks’ table-toppers.
