Women’s Football Festival Set to Shine at Plainmoor

We are proud to present a Women’s Football Festival at Plainmoor on Sunday, April 26 from 9am – 4pm.

The action-packed day promises something for everyone, kicking off in the morning with a series of junior girls’ matches. Young players from across the club will take centre stage, showcasing their talent, enthusiasm and pride in the famous Yellow shirt.

Following the youth fixtures, supporters will be treated to a walking football exhibition — a fast-growing format of the game designed to be inclusive and accessible, highlighting that football truly is for all ages and abilities.

The headline event arrives later in the day as Torquay United Women face off against Gloucester City Women in the next chapter of their bid to win promotion.

Off the pitch, the festival atmosphere will be in full swing, with a wide range of food options available and stalls set up around the ground, offering activities, merchandise, and opportunities to engage with the local football community.

“The festival is a celebration of the incredible progress in women’s football and a chance to bring the community together,” said General Manager Tim Herbert. “We want Plainmoor to be full of energy, support, and inspiration.”

With grassroots participation, inclusive activities, and a competitive senior fixture all rolled into one day, the Women’s Football Festival is set to be a highlight on the local sporting calendar.

Tickets are priced at just £5 for adults, while children can attend for free. Plainmoor Pass holders will also be entitled to free access to this event.

No online advance purchase will be required to attend the festival, with supporters able to pay upon entry at the stadium on the day.
