Flight Club Brings Football and Business Together at Plainmoor

Torquay United welcomed members of the local business community to another Flight Club event at Plainmoor on Friday, bringing together football, business and networking for a morning of conversation and insight.

The latest event featured contributions from two members of the club, with TUFC Director Tom Allen and first-team player Cody Cooke sharing their professional experiences and personal connections to the game.

Tom offered an insight into his career in the music industry, his professional journey and his passion for Torquay United, giving attendees a glimpse into the people and experiences that help shape the club.

Cody spoke openly about life as a professional footballer alongside his work as a Mortgage Consultant, while also balancing family life as a dad to a toddler. He reflected on the challenges he faced during his younger playing days, explaining how those setbacks helped fuel his determination to prove people wrong and succeed.

The event also provided an opportunity for local business people to connect, exchange ideas and build relationships, exploring the many parallels between football and business.

From teamwork and leadership to resilience, overcoming challenges and striving for success, the discussions highlighted how lessons from the football pitch can be applied across the business world.

Flight Club continues to offer the local business community a unique opportunity to gain an insight into Torquay United, meet the people behind the club and develop connections with fellow professionals.

Torquay United would like to thank everyone who attended the latest event and contributed to another successful morning at Plainmoor.
