Gulls secure one-month loan signing of young Notts County centre-back
Torquay United have bolstered their defensive options with the loan signing of Notts County central defender Luke Browne.
20 year-old Luke began his career in his native Ireland with Shelbourne, before joining Premier League side Crystal Palace.
Having spent eighteen months at Selhurst Park, during which time he captained Palace’s U21 side, Browne then made the switch to League 2 County in January 2026.
The Irishman has since made eight outings for Notts, including playing the full 90 minutes of Notts’ 2-1 success over Grimsby Town in the Football League Trophy on Tuesday evening.
Luke’s arrival provides Gulls boss Jimmy Ball with another exciting option in the defensive ranks, following the recent additions of fellow centre-backs Oludare Olufunwa and Taylor Scarff.
