‘Trialist A’ signing secured thanks to Forever Yellow funds
Torquay United is delighted to announce the signing of Harry Shield, in a deal that has been funded by the club’s Forever Yellow initiative, in partnership with Torquay United Supporters Trust.
This announcement is sure to be greeted with much enthusiasm by the Yellow Army, who have been delighted with the player’s performances as ‘Trialist A’ during pre-season.
Having impressed Gulls boss Jimmy Ball over the past month, the versatile former Plymouth Argyle youngster now becomes the latest addition to The Gulls’ impressive-looking 2026/27 playing roster – and it’s all thanks to United fans who have shown their support for TUFC by signing up to our Forever Yellow fundraising drive.
TUST Chairman Nick Brodrick spoke of his delight over Torquay’s latest arrival.
“We are thrilled to see that the club has signed Harry Shield, who has made a positive impact as Trialist A in pre-season, thanks to TUST’s Forever Yellow funds,” began Nick.
“Harry’s signing is the first of many uses of the funds accumulated in the Forever Yellow scheme, and underlines the important role fans can make in giving Jimmy the ability to build a strong squad.
“There’s still time for more TUST members to upgrade their membership which will help to make a big difference.”

What Is Forever Yellow?
Following its launch back in April, a tremendous show of support from the Yellow Army has seen the Trust’s original target of raising £100,000 come into firmly into view, with 85% of TUST’s target now reached!
Forever Yellow is a new way for every Torquay United supporter to play their part in supporting the club’s future – in a way that works for them.
What’s more, when members sign up to join TUST, or if current members amend their current tier of membership, they will also be able to choose how their money is spent – for example, First Team Operations, Youth Development or Stadium Experience.
Forever Yellow offers four membership levels, each offering different benefit options based on the monthly contributions being made by TUST members.
- Platinum: £25 per month
- Bronze: £2 per month
- Silver: £5 per month
- Gold: £10 per month
Although the perks linked to each tier provide supporters with a range of exclusive and unique benefits to thank them for their support, the primary aim of the Forever Yellow scheme is to offer something far more important – playing an active part of the Club they love.
