Helping Jakub Junior

United backing fundraising efforts of former Gull Jakub Sokolik

Everyone at Torquay United were saddened to hear of the plight of former player Jakub Sokolik, when it was announced that his son had been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

It was comforting, however, that not for the first time the Footballing Family sprung into action to support former the ex-Liverpool, Southend, Yeovil and Plymouth defender and his family, with donations raised going towards treatment to assist Sokolik junior over the past 18 months.

With his next round of treatment set to cost between £4,000-£6,000, a new Crowdfunder page has now been set up to help this very brave 3 year-old in his latest battle.

Anyone wishing to donate to this very worthy cause can do so HERE, with all donations hugely appreciated.

TUFC are currently making arrangements to help boost Jakub’s efforts with its own fundraising plan, and details regarding this are due to be announced early next week.

We’re right behind you, Jakub junior!
