United Women Looking Forward To Plainmoor Return

After a few weeks away, United’s women will return to home comforts this Sunday with the visit of Maidenhead United to Plainmoor (20/09/26 2pm KO).

United will come into the game on the back of four games unbeaten in all competitions, with their sole loss of the season coming on the opening day away to Wycombe in the league. That run has seen United concede just three goals across their five games, while scoring eleven.

United currently sit fifth in the league table with six points, just six points off the top two of Bridgwater and Moneyfields. Crucially, United have a game in hand over those above them and still face three of the four teams currently above them over the coming weeks.

To say the start to the league season could not have gone much better would be an understatement. Add in their run in the League Cup and a Women’s FA Cup tie on the horizon, and United Women are in a great place after the first few weeks of the season.

Sunday will see Maidenhead United visit Plainmoor. The Magpies will come into the game on the back of three defeats in their opening four league games, with two of those defeats coming against Bridgwater and Abingdon, two of the current top four in the league.

However, wins over Bristol Rovers in the league and Wycombe in the League Cup point to the fact that, much like the game against Keynsham, United will need to be at the top of their game at both ends of the pitch if they are to maintain their unbeaten home record this campaign.

Tickets are currently on sale for Sunday’s fixture, with Plainmoor Pass holders receiving free entry as part of this season’s package.

Individual Match Tickets are priced as follows:
