Ahead of their return to the FA Women’s National League for 2026/27, Torquay United’s women have unveiled their own new kit for a new division.
Following hot on the heels of the hugely popular men’s home shirt and United’s away and third shirts – which will be used by both of The Gulls’ senior sides this term – TUFC is pleased to unveil the new look shirt that Ryan Perks’ team will be wearing in the fourth tier in 26/27.
The kit boasts coastal-inspired graphics that a nod to TUFC’s unique home, whilst the traditional club colours remaining at the heart of the design. The ‘Est. 2013’ detail on the back neck recognises the year the women’s team was founded, and the ‘Inspiring the Next Wave’ print inside the collar reflects the team’s ambition to encourage the next generation of girls and women to wear this badge with pride.

“We believe this is an important milestone for our women’s team,” said TUFC Women Chairman Rob Hawes.
“This shirt has been designed specifically for our players and supporters, giving the team a distinct identity that reflects the progress we continue to make both on and off the pitch. As a club, we are committed to growing the women’s game, and that means being prepared to embrace change when it creates opportunities for the future.
“This new shirt will also allow supporters to purchase an official Torquay United Women replica shirt for the first time, something that simply wasn’t possible under the previous arrangement.”
Whilst having their own bespoke design removes the commercial challenges associated with sharing a kit with different sponsors and potentially creates additional revenue streams that benefit the women’s team, Rob explains this ultimately is seen as a benefit to Torquay United Football Club as a whole.

“This decision has never been about creating separation between the men’s and women’s teams – quite the opposite. It is about giving our women’s side the recognition, visibility and a commercial platform it deserves while strengthening the club’s ability to invest in its future.
“I would also like to thank all our commercial partners and supporters, without them it would be impossible to realise our vision at Torquay United Women.
“We recognise that supporters are passionate about our club and appreciate that any change can generate discussion, that passion is one of Torquay United’s greatest strengths. We firmly believe this new shirt is a positive step forward that supports the long-term development of the Women’s team while creating greater opportunities for players, partners and fans alike.”

Those sentiments were echoed by fellow board member, Danni Wyatt.
“Working alongside our kit partners VX3, we’ve ensured the shirt has been developed in a women’s-specific fit, designed for the players who represent this club every week.
It represents far more than a new kit; it marks another step forward for Torquay United Women and reflects the exciting direction we are heading together.”
Stock of the 2026/27 TUFC Women shirt, in both women’s and men’s fit, will be available via the TUFC Official Store soon.
