Dan arrived at Torquay following a superb season with Bath City, as his impressive displays in the heart of the City engine room played a huge part in the Roman’s 2023/24 promotion push.

Having begun his career as a youngster at Exeter City, a spell in Canada followed, before a return to Devon in 2020 saw Hayfield sign for Tiverton.

After switching to Bath in the summer of 2022, two seasons as an almost ever-present at Twerton Park saw the central midfielder gain widespread recognition for his performances, and paved the way for his switch to the English Riviera.
