Two goals from Brett Williams, a strike from George Essuman, and a goal from a trialist took the game away from the Dolphins. Only winger Bobson Bawling missed out on some playing time as he recovers from a minor injury. The match also marked youth prospect Olaf Koszela’s first minutes in a United shirt when he came off the bench in the second half.

“I’m pleased with the run-out, especially the second half,” said TUFC head coach, Gary Owers. “We scored a few goals on the end of a few good bits of play.”
“Poole made it tough in the first half, and the pleasing thing was over the course of the game we got stronger. Hopefully that will be a sign of things to come, with us being full-time.
“I don’t think we picked up many injuries, so another good 90 minutes for the lads.”
The match seems to have made the Gaffer’s mind up on some of the trialists that have been with the club over the last couple of weeks. More signings are expected to be completed soon.
“It is always hard for trialists in pre-season You have to be mindful of your own players getting the right amount of time on the pitch, as well as giving them a reasonable opportunity to impress.
“Maybe a couple of signings to come in on Monday, so that might influence my thinking as well.”
