Torbay-born Matt, 28, arrives at Plainmoor with a wealth of experience in the EFL, having spent a decade in Devon at neighbours Exeter City, during which time he skippered his side to promotion to League One in 2021/22, before moving on to Colchester for an undisclosed fee the following season.
