United defender, Jordan Lee, is currently away from the Club receiving treatment after being taken ill on Wednesday morning.

Lee will be out of contention for the first team while he is being assessed.

“Jordan has picked up a bit of an illness and they’re just doing some tests on him,” said Torquay United player-manager, Kevin Nicholson.

“Pretty sure it is nothing major but until ourselves and Bournemouth are comfortable that he is 100%, unfortunately he’s not available to us. We’ll be monitoring that and seeing how long it takes.

“He woke up in some discomfort in his chest yesterday. ‘Lawsy’ [Torquay United head of medical, Gareth Law] did great work, went with him to the hospital and sat with him all day because he had tests done [that were a] little bit inconclusive.

“I think the next stage is that he’s going to go up to St. George’s Park just to have a thorough set of tests. The best way to compare it is that Aman Verma had something similar last season. Again, when it’s chest or heart relates types of things you have just got to make sure. It is probably a virus and these things can show up like that. We’ve just got to make sure he’s right.

“We miss him a speedy recovery and look forward to getting him back.”
