Gary Johnson has announced the Club’s released list, with a number of players offered new contracts to remain at Plainmoor for 2022/23.
Following a season that saw The Gulls just miss out on a place in the play-offs following a marvellous second half of the season, United’s boss has provided an update on player discussions following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.
“Players that have not been offered a contract are Klaidi Lolos, Louie Slough, Scott Piper, Chiori Johnson, Joe Felix, Dan Holman, Marcin Brzozowski and Jake Andrews. We appreciate all that they have done for the Club, and wish them well for the future,” said Johnson.
The Gaffer also went on to confirm that thirteen players from last season’s squad have been offered new deals for the forthcoming campaign.
“Ali Omar, Dean Moxey, Asa Hall, Dan Martin, Tom Lapslie, Olaf Koszela, Alex Moyse, Danny Wright, Ben Wynter, Shaun MacDonald, Joe Lewis, Armani Little and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans have all been made offers of a new contract. Mark Halstead, Gabby Rogers and Keelan O’Connell are still in contract.
“As and when the boys that have been offered new contracts come back to us, we will update supporters accordingly.”
Johnson is clearly relishing adding some fresh faces to that group, and mould an exciting new-look squad to go one step further in 2022/23.
“The work begins immediately on bringing in new recruits, and already I’m excited about the possibility of securing some quality players that we have identified.
“I’m determined to get a group of players that the supporters can once again be proud of.”
