Torquay United manager Gary Johnson was disappointed not to get a home draw in today’s Emirates FA Cup but is expecting to see his players go all out to get into the next round.

United play either Brightlingsea Regent or Egham Town in the third round qualifying.

“Like all managers say at this stage of the FA Cup draw, when it isn’t at home it’s always a little disappointing,” said Johnson.

“You like to play your FA Cup games at home; however, we’ve been dealt with these cards and we play, as I speak, we play either Brightlingsea or Egham. Either trip will result in a very long away trip for our supporters. We’ll appreciate everyone that makes the trip but understand if some can’t make it. Hopefully we can get through to the next round and end up with a nice home draw.

“I’m one that every game I go in to, I want to win it. I want to get the players to adopt that mentality as well, as everyone could see with their attitude at Lymington on Saturday.”
