Goalkeeper Dan Lavercombe has returned to Wigan Athletic after injury cut short his one-month loan deal.
Lavercombe was injured in training on Thursday. A small tibial fracture was found after a trip to A&E.
“We wish Dan a very speedy recovery,” said Robbie Herrera.
“He had just started to feel his way back into the team. It looks like Wigan is going to look after him now but if there is anything we can do to help Dan, then we will.
“I am gutted for Dan,” said General Manager Geoff , who trained Lavercombe at Youth level.
“We can only thank Wigan for helping us to bring him back to the Club and behalf of everyone at Torquay United, we wish Dan a very speedy recovery. We are there for him, and we hope to see him back playing football soon.”
