United manager Gary Johnson gave his post-match thoughts, after Connor Lemonheigh-Evans’ late winner earned The Gulls their first home win of the season.

Prior to kick-off, the Gaffer paid tribute to the commitment of the fans attending Plainmoor in his programme notes, with the words gaining even greater significance after the 1-0 win over Southend:

I thank all our supporters that have turned up today, because they’ll be the supporters that know that we need them, and I’ve said it before that we need to be strong, still, as a club, whilst we’re turning this little poor start around, but anyone who’s in the stands playing a part in turning it around, we really appreciate.

Thank you for your support, Yellow Army!
