TUAFC would like to thank volunteers Kelly Fogarty and Emma Goulbourne for their hard work within the Club’s Youth Programme.
Both Kelly and Emma spend many hours voluntarily working for the Youth Department in their spare time, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by the Club.
Head of Youth Chris Todd spoke of the importance of Kelly and Emma’s roles;
“They’re priceless, what they do, they’re brilliant. They help me out by doing a bit of admin – anything and everything, they’re there. They’re prepared to help for Torquay United, and it’s people like them that makes the youth [system] run really well. I’ve also got voluntary coaches, like my number two, Paul Bishop, who do things for the Football Club. They wear their heart on their sleeve and these people are invaluable to the Youth Programme.
“Without them it wouldn’t be as successful as it is.”
Having narrowly lost to title-favourites Mangotsfield 1-0 last weekend, Chris Todd’s side have another big game coming up when his side travel to Somerset to face Bishops Lydeard in the Second Qualifying Round of The FA Youth Cup next week.
