Torquay United AFC are looking to recruit a new Stadium Announcer to cover home matches at Plainmoor.
This voluntary position will see the candidate become one of the voices of Plainmoor on matchdays by keeping the Yellow Army updated during all home matches.
All candidates required to attend most – if not all – of United’s home games throughout the season, from 1.30pm until 5pm on Saturday matchdays, and from 6.30pm until 9.45pm for midweek fixtures.
Applicants will need to be a confident public speaker with an excellent attention to detail, with the Stadium Announcer required to relay match information such as team news, goalscorers and half-times scores to supporters, along with other key messages, such as birthdays and safety announcements.
Although training will be provided, previous experience in a similar role, such as one using a microphone and sound system, would be an advantage.
