Gary Johnson has given his thoughts on the news that Chippenham Town will travel to Plainmoor in the Third Round of the FA Trophy.

The National League South side currently reside 21st in the table, but have enjoyed an Emirates FA Cup run so far, with Gary Horgan’s side having recently overcome League One side Lincoln to earn themselves a tie at Burton Albion in the Second Round Proper. Meanwhile in the Trophy the side battled out a 2-1 win in the previous round against Hastings, upon entering the competition.

United Manager Gary Johnson is looking forward to the Trophy tie being played on home turf at Plainmoor.

“I’m always happy with a home draw,” began the Gaffer.

“I know the club well and it’s one of the more local ones for them, and when it comes around we’ll be looking forward to it.

“I’ve won the FA Trophy before and it’s got good memories for me over the years,” explained Gaffer.
