TUAFC is pleased to show its support for Shelter’s #NoHomeKit campaign today by substituting our traditional home colours v Yeovil, as our third kit taking centre stage.
Following the success of last year’s campaign, Shelter are once again asking clubs and fans to ‘ditch their home shirt’ for their games on Boxing Day, in order to raise awareness of the fight to end homelessness and the housing emergency. Homelessness, and the housing crisis in general, is reaching a critical point with 180,000 households having been made homeless since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
National League General Manager Mark Ives said: “We are delighted to be working with Shelter once again on their #NoHomeKit campaign.
“We had an amazing response last year from the campaign and getting involved again was an easy decision.
“The football community know more than anyone how important the feeling of home is. Every 90 minutes, 25 households are made homeless. That is something we simply cannot ignore.
“For clubs who wish to take part, we are asking them to swap their home kit for their away or third kits for a fixture over the festive period to raise awareness of the devastating impact the housing emergency is having on lives across the country.”
With The Gulls facing Somerset rivals Yeovil Town today in a repeat of last year’s festive fixture, United’s players will again temporarily abandon their usual Yellow and Blue home strip, and will instead take to the field in the Club’s third strip.
The latest addition to Puma’s 2022/23 collection sees United’s players and supporters decked out in a vibrant combo of Beetroot Purple / Black, as our collaboration with official kit partners, Pro:Direct continues to scale new heights, whilst ensuring Gary Johnson’s side once again lead the way in the fashion stakes!
Shirts are available online here, and don’t forget, with 2022/23 Season Ticket holders are entitled to a 10% discount off all Club Shop purchases!
