An exciting opportunity has arisen at Torquay United AFC for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to our Club Shop team at Plainmoor on home matchdays. If you possess previous retail experience and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, then you could be just who we’re looking for!
Main duties for this role will include:
- Being the first point of contact for all supporters & welcoming all visitors to our Club Shop
- Managing all transactions via cash & card payments, including the sale of matchday tickets
- Fulfilling and dispatching online orders
- Dealing with returns and exchanges
- Handling general supporter queries
- Ensuring the Club Shop remains a clean, tidy, and inviting space for supporters
Personal attributes required:
- Must be Enthusiastic, hard-working, reliable and punctual
- Must maintain a smart appearance at all times
- Must have good communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
- Be proficient in delivering great customer service
- Capable of working independently under your own initiative, as well as displaying a strong team ethic
- Previous experience working in a retail or ticket office environment is preferred
Start Date: July 2023
Pay: Will meet relevant National Minimum Wage requirement
Hours: Home matchdays, including Saturdays, Tuesday evenings, Bank Holidays and other days dependant on fixtures.
