Having already signed up for 2023/24, lifelong supporter Vince Flower was our latest lucky winner and received a signed match-worn away shirt as part of our Season Ticket Prize Draws!
As an additional bonus to fans pledging their support by purchasing a 2023/24 Season Ticket, holders will be entered into a series of draws ahead of the new campaign, with our latest winner receiving a signed match-worn away shirt from the 2022/23 campaign.
This week’s winner was lifelong supporter Vince Flower, who was presented with his signed player-worn shirt. Vince reflected on previous seasons, as well as the sense of community he feels attending fixtures at Plainmoor, with around two decades of them being as a Season Ticket holder!
“I’ve been a Season Ticket holder for roughly 20 years or so, but I’ve been coming longer than that – it’s probably easier to say lifelong because I haven’t always had a Season Ticket – I have a for a long time now, but in my early years I would come to matches but didn’t have a Season Ticket. I’m born and bred in Torquay and I’ve followed the Club from being a small boy,” began Vince.
Having supported the Club since his childhood, it was tough to decide his all-time favourite player, but there was no hesitation in selecting his favourite player from the 2022/23 campaign.
“Last season, Asa Hall. Over the years, Kevin Nicholson…there’s been so many actually!” said Vince.
Vince has many fond memories of attending fixtures at Plainmoor, but described how it was the community spirit that he enjoys the most.
“It’s a great community so it’s part of my life to come and watch them play, and also the fellow supporters, seeing them in the ground, enjoying the games and being very passionate about the Club, so I think for me, that’s what keeps drawing me back – it’s that sense of community and if we win it’s even better, obviously!” explained Vince.
“I think despite the disappointment of last season, I really thought we had a good second half of the season. We played some really good football at times and I think, for me, if I was giving someone advice, I would say give it a go, because actually it’s very infectious and you do get drawn into the whole atmosphere of the Club and it’s a great sense of community, as I’ve already said, and we played really well towards the end of last season, it was the first part of the season that really did it for us – but we will be back!”

Renewing 2022/23 Season Ticket holders will be provided with priority access to their current seats during this time, before seats are released for general sale thereafter.
