Plymouth visit Plainmoor on July 27th
Torquay United have announced their fourth pre-season friendly ahead of the forthcoming 2024/25 campaign, as United take on Devon neighbours Plymouth Argyle at home on Saturday 27th July (3pm KO).
Having secured their place in The Championship following a final day win over Hull City, Plymouth captured the attention of the footballing world last month, with the news that legendary former England striker Wayne Rooney had been appointed as the new manager at Home Park.
With Rooney set to take his place in the opposition dugout at Plainmoor as Gulls boss Paul Wotton faces up to his former club, this adds another level of interest to what is always a highly-anticipated warm-up fixture.
