Having already signed up for the 2023/24, ardent Gulls fan Tim Platt had an extra cause to celebrate this week, as he received a match-worn home shirt in the first of our Season Ticket Prize Draws!
As an additional bonus to fans pledging their support by purchasing a 2023/24 Season Ticket, holders will be entered into a series of draws ahead of the new campaign, with our first lucky winner ironically celebrating his birthday this week! After collecting his prize at Plainmoor, Tim explained how his support for The Gulls began, and it has since become a family affair!
“I have been a season ticket holder for the last two years,” he began.
“I have supported the Club, and been coming to the ground for many years, as I was born in Paignton so am a Torbay person. My first ever game here at Plainmoor was back in 1987 when Torquay played Aberdeen in a pre-season friendly and it finished 1-1. I would’ve been in my early teens, it was one of my favourite games, and I remember Mark Loram scoring the goal, so it is just a game that has stuck in my memory.”
“I wanted to get my son to come and see local football, as he was born in Torquay, and so I wanted him to come and support his local team. We came and watched together during the National League South season and it went from there, and we agreed we would come and watch every game, and that’s when we decided to get season tickets.”

For 2023/24, Torquay United AFC is encouraging more families than ever to witness live football action in person, with a fantastic range of offers available for young supporters accompanied by an adult, with Under 7s FREE and Under-12 Season Tickets available for just £46 – working out a just £2 per game! Under-18 season tickets, meanwhile, remain superb value at £100, with TUAFC also delighted to offer its Family Season Ticket at just £475, representing even more savings for United-loving families!
Renewing 2022/23 Season Ticket holders will be provided with priority access to their current seats during this time, before seats are released for general sale thereafter.
