Another valuable member of the Gary Johnson’s squad has committed his future to the Gulls, with Ben Wynter signing a new contract.
The 21 year-old signed for United in the summer following spells with Bromley and Hampton & Richmond Borough, however it has been under Johnson’s stewardship that has seen the young right-back cement his place in the starting XI.
“It’s not always the right thing to say when you talk about somebody being the most improved player, but Ben Wynter has grown in stature and confidence since my arrival,” said Johnson.
“I knew from previous clubs I was at earlier in my managerial career that ‘Wynts’ was always a player, a young player, that everyone was looking at because of his quality. I’m not quite sure what happened along the way, however he’s now finding his game, he’s found his form and has found his confidence. That makes him an excellent player for us. Since I’ve been here, he’s been a regular in the team.”
We’ll be uploading an interview with Ben to Official TUFC TV soon.
