On Friday 3rd June, Torquay United AFC will be joining in the festivities to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and we’re inviting the Yellow Army to come and join us!
From 10:30am until 5pm, the Club will be taking part in a Family Fun Day at Torre Abbey Meadows, where a number of other events will also be taking place to mark Her Majesty becoming the first British Monarch to celebrate seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6 February 1952.
With a full day of family entertainment in the sun on offer on the Meadows, this is a wonderful opportunity for the community of Torbay to come together and celebrate this historic milestone.
Along with having a TUAFC stall on the Meadows, there will be an opportunity for supporters to meet United’s cup-winning Womens’ team, take part in a penalty shoot-out competition, and there’ll also a guest appearance from the one and only Gilbert the Gull!
