Striker becomes United’s latest addition

Torquay United FC is delighted to announce the signing of striker Cody Cooke from National League South rivals Bath City.

31 year-old Cooke arrives at Plainmoor after three seasons with The Romans, during which time he notched 55 goals in 130 appearances.

Having begun his career in Cornwall at Penryn Athletic, it was a move to his hometown club Truro City that saw Cody’s form attract the attentions of Scottish Premier League side St Mirren.

During his time in Scotland, a memorable hat-trick in a 3-2 success away at Dundee helped his side maintain their top-flight status, prior to the centre-forward making a return south of the border with Weymouth for 2020/21.

With his spell in Dorset paving the way for his successful move to Bath, Cooke will now be setting his sights on continuing his prolific form for Paul Wotton’s Gulls next term.

Welcome to Plainmoor, Cody Cooke!
