TUAFC’s Community Fun Day is well underway on the Plainmoor lawn outside the stadium, with fun for all the family guaranteed!
Members of both the Torquay United AFC and Torquay United Women squads have already been mingling with supporters in the sun, with the wonderful weather creating the perfect conditions for the Yellow Army to grab some superb selfies!
Never one to be outdone, our famous mascot, Gilbert the Gull is also in attendance, with The Yellow Army being invited to show off their skills with our penalty shoot-out competition, whilst the Torquay United Community Trust are also be on hand, putting young – and older – fans to the test with the Speed Goal!
Showcasing the ‘Best of the Bay’, the event outside Boots & Laces is already proving to be a hive of fun and games, with a superb Prize Raffle and stalls from a number of leading local attractions and businesses all coming together in a bid to raise funds for a new life-saving public defibrillator.
There’s plenty of food and drinks – including a Hog Roast and Ice Creams – on offer, and with Boots & Laces also open for refreshments, it’s not too late to come on down and enjoy the fun, as the Torbay community once again unites together for this very worthy cause!
A cardiac arrest can affect anyone at any time – whether you’re at home, work, or out in public – and with public defibrillators often proving to be the difference between life and death, finding one as quickly as possible is vitally important to help save someone’s life. Having a defibrillator located outside the stadium will not only be of benefit to those attending matches at Plainmoor, but also the local community.
TUAFC would like to thank Torbay Council, and all those businesses that have committed to attend, for supporting our latest Community Day!
Come on down to Plainmoor, Yellow Army – the whole family is invited!
