With Community Day sponsored by South Devon College returning to Plainmoor on Saturday, Year 7/8/9 students have up until 2pm on Friday to get hold of tickets for just £2 per person!
With our home fixture against St Albans on Saturday, February 3rd (3pm KO) designated as our latest Community Day, students from across the Bay have already responded in their numbers by snapping up tickets, however there’s still time to join us for another memorable occasion at Plainmoor!
With all Year 7/8/9 students attending schools within the TQ postal code area permitted to apply for tickets for themselves, their school friends and their guardians, this fantastic offer is sure to once again capture the imagination of the local community!
Please note that tickets are limited though, and that no Community Day tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the game.
How To Claim Your Community Tickets
All Community Day tickets must be purchased in advance by completing the ONLINE FORM HERE, with no Community Day tickets available for purchase on the day of the game. Once completed, a member of staff from the Club will contact you to process payment and email you your tickets, so please ensure the most suitable contact details are included within the online form.
Please Note: Tickets will be allocated in the Wollens Terrace, which is an all-standing terrace. The minimum unaccompanied age for entry to the Ground is 14 years of age. All persons under this age will be required to attend and be within close proximity (determined at the absolute discretion of the Club) to an adult (aged 18 and over).
Following on from the success of our last Community Day, when hundreds of local sportspeople witnessed The Gulls turn on the style in a 5-1 victory over Welling, this time it’s the turn of local secondary school pupils throughout Torbay to benefit from tickets in Plainmoor’s Wollens Terrace for just £2 per person.
Torquay United AFC would once again like to place on record its thanks to South Devon College for their continued support in sponsoring this latest event, as two of the most community-focused members of the Bay landscape again join forces for the benefit of Torbay and its residents.
South Devon College’s passion for inspiring the local community is through learning in a modern and friendly environment, with a state-of-the-art main campus in Paignton, and other campuses based in various locations throughout Torbay and beyond, including Torquay, Newton Abbot and Kingswear.
Torquay United’s Community Day initiatives help to emphasise the importance the Club places on being at the very heart of the local community, and as the only professional sporting Club in Torbay, the Club is delighted to use both its heritage and profile to help support and promote local worthy causes.
“It promises to be another fantastic day for all involved,” said TUAFC Supporters Liaison Officer, Dominic Mee.
“Our Community Days continue to be a brilliant way for Torbay’s residents to come together, and we thank South Devon College for once again supporting us with this venture.”
Meanwhile, Kelly Sooben, Vice Principal at South Devon College said:
“South Devon College is incredibly proud to be sponsoring Torquay United’s latest Community Day, after such a wonderful day in October.
“It’s fantastic to be able to offer opportunities like this to our community and particularly to young people across Torbay. Events like this are hugely important in inspiring young people and in encouraging families to get out and about and experience all that the Bay has to offer.”
