Friday saw TUAFC and the local community unite as one, with our Community Fun Day raising funds for a public defibrillator.

Torquay United AFC would like to thank all those who attended, including United’s men’s and women’s teams, and the local community, as well as all of the stallholders, for their support in making the event such a success.

The Plainmoor lawn was a hive of activity throughout the day, with a variety of stalls to entertain the whole family. Gary Johnson and his squad, and not forgetting Gilbert the Gull, were in attendance, proving popular amongst the local community in attendance, with a lot of smiles, signatures, and selfies!

A cardiac arrest can affect anyone at anytime – whether you’re at home, work, or out in public – and with public defibrillators often proving to be the difference between life and death, finding one as quickly as possible is vitally important to help save someone’s life.

Having a defibrillator located outside the stadium will not only be of benefit to those attending matches at Plainmoor, but also the local community.

TUAFC would like to reiterate its thanks to Torbay Council, and all of the businesses who attended in supporting our latest Community Day.
