Ahead of the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, United’s preparations have received a further boost, following the news that Mark Ellis’s loan with Barrow has been extended.

Having made his senior debut for The Gulls as a youngster back in 2007, the return of the Kingsbridge-born centre-back to Plainmoor was always going to prove popular with the Yellow Army, and after making eight appearances, scoring one goal since, manager Gary Johnson is delighted that he will be able to continue calling upon Ellis’ vast defensive experience.

“Once again, the Club have agreed with Barrow to extend Mark Ellis’ loan deal,” confirmed the Gaffer.

“We’re happy to have Mark around at this time, and trust his experience will be a big plus for us.”
