Torquay United have been drawn at home to Crawley Town in the Emirates FA Cup 1st round.
The match is a repeat of the 2010/11 4th round encounter, where a 0-1 defeat for United at Plainmoor saw the visitors go on to face Manchester United in Round 5 instead.
Gulls boss Gary Johnson is totally focused on what his class of 2020/21 can produce though, against a team that occupies a place in League Two – A division United themselves aspire to be in next season.
“I’m already looking forward to it,” said Johnson.
“It could have been better, and it could have been worse. Obviously at the moment, we don’t know that much about them, other than that they are 13th in League Two.
“If we have got aspirations of getting into League Two, then we have got to give a good account of ourselves, and it will be a good test for the lads. I know the division, so it’s something that we have got to prove that we’re very close to.
“By the time it comes around, we will know everything about them – haircuts, shoe sizes, relatives – everything, because it’s an important game for the club.
“We’ve just got to look forward to it, make sure we embrace it when it comes round, and hopefully the streaming will go through the roof!”
The match is set to take place on the weekend of November 7th, with further details to follow.
