Manager Gary Johnson spoke to BT Sport following his side’s televised 2-2 draw away to Stockport County on Sunday.

“Against Bromley before, we drew 0-0, played well, and didn’t quite take our chances. It was the same again today really, although obviously the game was 2-2, and it was two good teams that were trying to win the game, and it made for a very open game.”

Asked whether he was ready to concede the National League title to rivals Sutton, with his side three points behind them with just two matches left to play, Johnson made it clear he hadn’t given up hope of automatic promotion yet.

“No, not until it’s gone. Of course we’re not the favourites by any stretch, but what you’ve got to do now with the players is to say these next games could be ‘dress rehearsals’ for the play-offs, however we still need to win our next two games, and see where everything is.”
