New initiative sees long-standing sponsors offering free tickets

South Devon pub company, White Rose Taverns have teamed up with Torquay United to offer free tickets to The Gulls’ home matches this season.

The Molloy family are long standing supporters of the club and own the Molloy’s outlets in Teignmouth and St Marychurch. The latter being a popular choice for United fans for pre and post match drinks.

A pair of tickets for an adult and an under-eighteen to every home league match are up for grabs. “The idea is to get people to a game who can’t normally afford to go or reward those who have benefitted their community with a free day out,” said company director, Richard Molloy. “As fans, we’re delighted with the current mood of positivity and optimism around the club at the moment, and wanted to add to that a little by encouraging the next generation of The Yellow Army”.

TUFC commercial manager, Sharon Cox says the club is fully behind the idea. “This is a fantastic initiative by Molloys, and we’d like to thank them for their continued support of the club,” she said. “Attracting new supporters to the club is one of the club’s primary objectives, and promotions such as this can only assist us with this.”

More information can be found on the Molloy’s at St Marychurch Facebook page, and anyone wishing to apply for the free tickets are encouraged to like the page and send a direct message with a brief description of who they’re applying for and why.
