Torquay United AFC is pleased to announce the launch of a new independent Supporters Steering Group that represents all of the Club’s fanbase.

During the past few weeks, TUAFC has held discussions and listened to feedback it has received from a cross-section of Torquay United supporters, including representatives of the Torquay United Supporters Trust (TUST), with a view to improving communication channels between the Club and its supporters.

The first phase of this was announced earlier this week, with the launch of our Online Fans Forum, with the first forum giving the Yellow Army the opportunity to pose questions to the Club’s Board of Directors. Further details regarding this is available here.

The next phase is aimed at ensuring that all members of our fanbase are represented, with the Club facilitating an independent supporters steering group for TUAFC.

This group, which will be democratically represented, is seen as a proactive way for the Club to gain feedback from a cross-section of its supporters, with the objective of improving communication with supporters, whilst ensuring that all United supporters are represented, and given a voice that reflects their individual needs.

Each month, the supporters steering group’s committee will meet with Club and Board representatives, with meeting notes agreed and made available to all members.

Further details regarding this new initiative will follow in due course.

In the meantime, the Club would once again like to thank all of our wonderful supporters for their continued support, and we hope that everyone comes together at Plainmoor on Saturday for one United cause… three points towards our push for promotion!
