Torquay United are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Lirak Hasani.
Hasani, 21, arrives at Plainmoor after leaving National League side Gateshead, having made 23 appearances for The Heed since joining them in the summer of 2022.
After making his debut as a 16 year-old for Doncaster Rovers, the attacking midfielder went on to make 16 outings for the League One side, in addition to taking in loan spells at non-League sides Matlock and Basford.
Having made the permanent switch to Gateshead, Lirak also gained significant game time at National League North sides Boston, South Shields and Blyth Spartans, with his spell at promotion-chasing Shields proving particularly successful, as he clocked up 24 appearances and 2 goals before being recalled by his parent club.
That experience is set to be invaluable next term, as The Gulls look to mount a concerted promotion push from National League South.
