Ex-Torquay United players Dave Caldwell and Andy Donnelly will be joining us at Plainmoor as part of our upcoming pre-match hospitality plans on Saturday.

Striker, Dave Caldwell spent a brief, but memorable time with United between 1987 & !988 before returning to Plainmoor in a loan spell in 1989. The Yellow Army will remember Caldwell’s debut for United where he scored an over-head kick against Hereford United. He helped United clinch a play-off spot in his first spell and is fondly remembered by many fans for his all-action displays.

Goalkeeper, Andy Donnelly made over 150 appearances for United between 1967 and 1972. Donnelly was brought to Plainmoor by Torquay United legendary manager, Frank O’Farrell. After winning the Southern League under O’Farrell at Weymouth, Donnelly came to Plainmoor and played his part in a very successful time for TUFC. He left United and went to South Africa and had further success playing for Cape Town City.

We are delighted to welcome these great men from our history back to Plainmoor.

Demand will be high for places for pre-match meals for both of these fixtures. To book your places, contact hospitality manager, Bernie Phillips by calling 07940 222800 or email [email protected].
