Gary Owers’ squad is nearing completion with the signing of attacking midfielder, Chris Regis.

Although it took a while to capture his man, the Gaffer is pleased that Regis will be a part of his squad this season.

“I’m very happy to get him,” said Owers. “I tried to get him earlier in pre-season; he was probably going to be one of my first signings. He decided to take his chance at a League club which he is entitled to do; it shows the extent of his ambition.”

Regis adds all sorts of qualities to the squad according to the Gaffer. Another signing could be on the horizon too.

“He’s a big, strong, powerful, and technical, attacking midfield player who can also operate further up the pitch if need be. He can play in that number 10 role or even as a centre forward. He’s another really good addition to the squad which is almost complete.”
